Job Description:


- Exciting opportunity for an experienced RN to join our Day Surgery unit in Lewisville, TX!


- Shift Details:
- Shift: 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36

- Unit Highlights:
- Focused on Day Surgery (PACU folder group)
- Engaging, fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team atmosphere

- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Provide exceptional patient care in Day Surgery
- Monitor and support patients post-operatively

- Required Qualifications:
- Active RN TX License (temporary license not accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
- Strong experience with:
- ACLS
- PALS
- BLS
- Day Surgery
- Age-specific care: Adult (18-65 years), Adolescents (13-17 years), Geriatrics (65 years and older)

- Special Skills/Experience Preferred:
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Previous experience in:
- Medical/Surgical Services
- Cardiovascular Services
- Oncology
- Orthopedics
- Neuroscience
- Bariatric

- Personality Traits:
- Great smiling personality
- Strong communication skills

- Dress Code:
- Facility-provided scrubs
- Clean and healthy nails (no artificial nails)
- Neat and clean hair (no extreme styles/colors)
- Clean and neatly trimmed beards and mustaches
- Body art should be covered whenever possible
- Visible piercings (other than ears) are prohibited

- Additional Information:
- Must be flexible and open to floating as needed
- Attendance policy adhered to strictly
