Behavior Technician (BT)Covelo Group is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to join our Educational Services team. In this role, you may be working one on one with a student in a mainstream classroom. Or, you may be asked to support multiple students in a separate classroom designed to meet their unique educational needs.Your students will vary in age from grades K-12, to be determined by the school district. Their behavior challenges may range from mild to moderate to severe. The level of intervention and support they require will be determined on a case-by-case basis, according to the parameters set forth in their individual education plans (IEP) or 504 plans.Your primary responsibilities will involve helping students learn to manage their behavior to optimize their own learning experience. You will also play an important role in preserving a positive learning environment for their classmates and teachers. You will help students meet individual behavioral and academic goals by encouraging positive behaviors and setting appropriate boundaries. Teachers and administrators will also rely on you to observe and report students' progress toward the goals outlined in their IEP /504 plans.We are looking for a versatile BT who is willing to collaborate with a diverse group of students, educators, and administrators.
