Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Neuro ICU RN Comprehensive Stroke Center

Schedule: 12-hour nights (18:4507:15) Every other weekend requirement

Assignment Details: Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Comfort in caring for stroke patients

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU, focusing on stroke management and other neurocritical care conditions.
• Monitor and interpret complex patient data, including vital signs and neurological assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for integrated patient care and treatment planning.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform patient assessments as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard protocols.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 24 hours (either 2 days or 2 nights)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• All RTO must be pre-approved
