Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2050 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Florida license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Additional Details:

1 manager reference from within the last 12 months OR 2 charge nurse references from within the last 6 months (One reference must be from most recent employment)

Special Requests: - No travel pairs for Tele units. - No holiday RTO.

Shift & Scheduling: - Maximum 7 consecutive days of RTO. - 4 weekend shifts per month. - Holidays as needed, same as staff.

Unit Details: - Currently designated COVID Med/Surg/Tele. Adult patients 18+ with all diagnoses, including COVID-19 and medical overflow; seldom general surgery patients and excludes NSTEMI/cardiac arrhythmias. All travelers should expect to care for COVID-19 patients if needed. - Uses Cerner and Pyxis. - Uses Hospira Plum 360 IV pumps, wound vacs, trachs, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, CBI, 12-lead EKGs, and BIPAP/CPAP on nights; no cardiac drips. Common drips include IV fluids, antibiotics, blood products, and heparin. - Phlebotomy is an RN responsibility, with occasional PCA assistance when available. - Central monitor station is located in 2A/IMCU; unit includes negative airflow rooms.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers float first and will float to Diabetes, Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, and other Med/Surg units within the division, in rotation with staff or as needed.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
