Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams under general supervision. The successful candidate will follow established policies and procedures while ensuring the highest quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.
• Verify patient identity and review medical records to ensure appropriateness of exams.
• Conduct patient interviews to obtain, verify, and update medical histories.
• Assess and document risk factors including medications, pregnancy, and psychological indicators.
• Explain procedures to patients, including potential side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions.
• Set up imaging equipment and acquire necessary images according to established guidelines.
• Review images, make initial observations, and document deviations from established protocols.
• Communicate findings to radiologists and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
• Participate in process improvement activities within the radiology practice, focusing on quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
• Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
• Be available for on-call or standby duty as required.
• Occasionally perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in CT Technology and Radiology is required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in CT and Radiology is required.
• Familiarity with GE CT and X-ray machines is preferred.

Location

This position is based in Riverton, WY.
