Job Description The Collaborative to Advance Health Services (CAHS) at the Institute for Human Development (IHD) at the University of Missouri‑Kansas City (UMKC) seeks a Senior Program/Project Support Coordinator - Internal Communications and Operations to function independently within a diverse, interdisciplinary team. The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership, strategic direction, and management of high‑complexity projects, and facilitate processes and product development to ensure the Collaborative achieves its vision, mission, and strategic plan. Additionally, they will establish programs to meet the diverse needs of the funding agency, partners, and other stakeholders. This position will serve as a senior project coordinator for the SAMHSA‑funded Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network Coordinating Office (ATTC NCO). The role executes day‑to‑day operational and administrative aspects of national training, technical assistance, and implementation support projects for the specialized addiction treatment and recovery workforce and communities. Key responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, supporting project teams with calls and action items, and aiding in the development of reports and documents for final submission. The work emphasizes network‑wide initiatives, intra‑ and internal communications, and day‑to‑day operations. NOTE: This position is 100% grant funded and contingent on continued funding. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership in program and resource development for the ATTC NCO, implement national addiction and recovery‑related initiatives, create and manage project teams, and serve as a resource for project development and completion. Participate in and represent the ATTC NCO in high‑level meetings for high‑visibility initiatives. Facilitate collaboration and communication among key stakeholders, regional ATTCs and federal partners. Contribute to NCO efforts to foster cross‑regional, intra‑network, and external partnerships with regional ATTCs for increased collaboration and decreased duplication of efforts. Support planning, curriculum development and related activities for high‑quality, appropriate training and technical assistance activities that build the capacity of the healthcare workforce and those who directly support them. Design technical assistance plans using evidence‑based implementation strategies based on the most current implementation science literature to respond to stakeholder needs. Work in concert with the Project Director and Associate Director to write strong, competitive federal grant applications, progress reports, and budget projections (as needed). Partner with regional ATTCs to support, coordinate, and implement national POWER Team initiatives focused on CSAT priorities. Manage operations for external experts on the POWER Teams, including administrative duties, contracts, invoicing, etc. Manage operations for and support Project Director, Associate Director, and Subject Matter Experts in developing and implementing training‑of‑facilitator, training, and community of practice events for internal and external audiences. In partnership with the ATTC NCO website manager, manage the external ATTC website and internal Hub. Work with Project Director and Associate Director to support presentation and exhibiting needs of the NCO and regional ATTCs. Support the Project Director and Associate Director in implementing ad‑hoc projects that emerge from funder requests, regional and national priorities, and emerging trends from needs assessments. Work with the Project Director and UMKC staff to track budget and related operations. Perform other duties as necessary or in the best interests of the federally grant‑funded program. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with 3 years of comparable experience. Preferred Qualifications Lived/living experience of, or knowledge of, behavioral health, addiction treatment, and/or recovery services. Master's degree in social work, health education, public administration/public health, behavioral health, psychology, education, or related fields. Demonstrated success in managing projects similar in scope and size. Skill and Knowledge Required Capacity to contribute to teams while working independently with minimal supervision. Organized and detail‑oriented with strong follow‑up skills; exercise sound judgment. Adept at strategic and analytical thinking; excellent problem‑solving skills. Flexible and able to think creatively when using new tactics or strategies. Effective communication, both oral and written. Work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines; take initiative and follow through on novel challenges. Tech savvy; proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, Google tools, SPSS, Qualtrics, and quick to learn new software. Anticipated Hiring Range The anticipated hiring range for this position is $60,000 to $68,000 annually. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
