Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education; identify issues and connect patients and families with available resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current TNCC certification
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience caring for adult and pediatric patients in a designated Stroke, STEMI, Trauma, or Resuscitation center environment
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac care in a high-acuity regional hospital setting
