Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The position involves specialized care for post-cardiac surgery patients and those with advanced cardiac conditions. The role includes working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
• Thermoregulation, CABG, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management
• Experience with Impella, post-cardiac surgery care, and pre/post cardiac cath intervention
• Monitoring using Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz and Valve Replacement/Repair management
• Care for LVAD/RVAD patients, CVVHD/CRRT, and comprehensive IV therapy
• Administering continuous IV paralytics, sedation, and titrating cardiac drips
• Managing CVA/acute stroke, lumbar drains, and respiratory support devices
• Ventilator management, infection prevention, and surgical wound care

Requirements:

• 3 years of CV ICU experience
• Active IL nursing license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
• Epic system experience
• Charge experience preferred
• Passing score of 80% or above on an EKG test
• Submit updated resume, CV ICU skills checklist, CV reference, and EKG test
