Positions located in Jacksonville, FL. Life as an Engineering Co-op The co-op program provides each student with real-life hands-on experience, coaching and mentoring, and networking opportunities. Be involved in the design, development, manufacturing and commercialization of new products or product modifications. The team would prefer the candidate to be able to complete multiple rotations of a co-op. Key Responsibilities: Collect and Analyze data to find opportunities for improvement Drive and influence continuous improvement activities in collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering departments Supervise key operational performance indicators and report results versus the established business goals and objectives. Qualifications Education: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Candidate must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master's in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or other related field. Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required Must have completed one year of school by the start of the co-op Experience and Skills: Required: Availability to work full-time, 40hrs./week for the duration of the co-op is required Availability to complete multiple rotations of a co-op is required Ability to provide transportation to/from the work location if on-site work is required Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required Excellent communication, presentation skills and leadership skills are preferred Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while executing results Must be a self-starter who works independently while contributing to the team goals Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
