We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.As a member of the facility operations team, you will design, build, and activate some of the world's most technically advanced facilities and data centers. You will be the subject-matter expert on the maintenance and reliability of critical infrastructure assets. You will have the opportunity to utilize your knowledge, experience, and creativity to develop novel solutions at the cutting edge of space technology. You will work with other facility engineers and internal customers to support these goals and have the opportunity to drive real global impact, ultimately leading to making life multiplanetary.Responsibilities:Responsible for owning and being the subject matter expert on fluid/HVAC components across the siteResponsible for owning maintenance and reliability of critical infrastructure assets across campusCommission systems, validate nameplate performance, and implement predictive maintenance protocols to minimize downtimeEquipment selection, sizing, and procurement supportDrive root-cause investigations for any equipment failures and implement corrective actions across the siteBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline1+ years of professional experience working with various fluids components such as valves, pumps, COPVs, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensorsPreferred Skills and Experience:Hands-on experience with fluid (liquid and/or gas) handling systemsExperience using data acquisition equipment, as well as test instrumentation and control components: pressure transducers, thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, relaysExperience with HVAC systems and air ductingExperienced in NX or other CAD packages with a solid understanding and application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5-1994 and tolerance stack-up analysisExperience with structural analysis methods in order to optimize hardware to strength requirements as well as to evaluate for life and fractureExperience with pressurized structures and/or lightweight aerospace structuresAbility to work independentlySpaceXSI is an equal opportunity employer.
