Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.Essential Functions:Ability to read and understand description of manufacture (DM, DOM) for operation assembly instruction.Ability to handle small parts with tweezers and/ or special toolsOperate various types of assembly equipment (assembly machines, press stakers, air screw drivers, etc.) with proper training.Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to, during, and after assembled.Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DMs.Maintain assembly/ quality records paperwork as required.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant assembly experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related assembly experience.Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.Preferred Additional SkillsExperience with various types of precision measurement tools (micrometers, go/no-go gauges, etc.) and blueprint reading.Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.Familiar with reading blueprints/drawings and part lists.L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
