About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year License: Must have license in-hand prior to start Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Willing to accept first-time travelers - Must be able to work in Pennsylvania at time of submission - Every other weekend required - Holidays may be expected Description: Med Surg RN with 1 year of experience needed. Shift is 3x12s from 7 PM to 7 AM. Basic nursing skills are required. Candidate may be expected to work charge. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Covid and flu vaccinations are suggested but not required. This is a nonprofit, critical access facility with 83 beds. No call is required. Medication system used is AHT. Documentation is done in CPSI. Patient age groups served include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 6 patients. The unit supports interdisciplinary care including physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, and renal failure. There are no ventilators; patients become critical or unstable are transferred to a larger facility. Special equipment includes Vapotherm and telemetry. Charting experience is not required, but familiarity with electronic health records is beneficial. Client agrees to float workers in rotation with staff, in accordance with their floating policies. Expect to work some holidays.
