Hydrolix | United States, Remote As the Principal Product Marketing Manager, Security, you will own our security market PMM work from first insight to post-launch review, you write the first draft, build the battlecard, and run the training session. Key Responsibilities Security market strategy and point of view. Define the ICP, segments, and buyer and partner personas. Decide which security markets and motions come first, and say where Hydrolix wins and where it doesn’t. Our security motion runs largely through partners (MSSPs, MDRs, and SecOps vendors), so you’ll write for partner sellers and partner technical teams as well as end buyers. Positioning and messaging. Build the case for running Hydrolix alongside an existing SIEM, and for where it fits in the security data stack. Messaging has to survive a conversation with a detection engineer and stay inside what Product can prove. Competitive and market intelligence. Maintain battlecards and the competitive set for security. Run win/loss for security deals and turn it into changes in messaging and roadmap input. Customer and partner research. Talk directly with customers, partners, and prospects. Bring their language and priorities back into messaging and into Product. Launches. Own security launches from brief to post-launch review, using our tiered launch framework and defined roles. Build reusable templates and playbooks so the next launch starts further along. Pricing and packaging. Partner with Product and leadership on pricing and packaging for security offerings. Bring competitive, customer, and partner input, then build the messaging and enablement once decisions are made. Naming. Collaborate with the Head of Product Marketing, who owns product and feature naming, on names for security offerings. Sales and partner enablement. Collaborate with Partner Marketing and Technical Marketing on talk tracks, collateral, and training for direct sellers, partner sellers, and solutions engineers. Keep one source of truth for security messaging, product availability, and FAQs. Thought leadership. Develop the security perspective Hydrolix publishes and presents, in collaboration with Technical Marketing. Feedback loops. Maintain a solid Field/Product feedback loop. Reporting. Show marketing, sales, and product leadership how security go-to-market is performing, using pipeline, win/loss, and funnel data. Cross-functional partnership. Work daily with Product Management, Technical Marketing, Content, Sales, Partner Marketing, and Growth. Qualifications and Skills Prior experience as a Principal PMM (or equivalent-level title), with some of that experience in the Security market. Startup experience: you’ve built messaging, launches, and enablement at a startup or scale-up without a team of specialists around you. Depth in at least one of SIEM, SOAR, log management, XDR, detection and response, or security analytics. You know how SecOps teams buy and how MSSPs and MDRs sell. Enough technical depth to discuss log volume, retention, query performance, and data pipelines with a practitioner. You don’t need to code. Experience supporting pricing and packaging work (competitive pricing research, partner and customer input, packaging messaging). Writing samples that show precise, defensible claims. Comfort with funnel, pipeline, and win/loss data. Experience with of AI tools to speed up research, drafting, and analysis, and the discipline to check the output. Bonus Qualifications Experience with partner-led or channel-led go-to-market, including technology alliances or cloud marketplaces. Direct analyst relations experience. Background in data infrastructure, observability, or data lake products. Experience taking a technical product from early traction to a recognized position in its category.
