About the Role

Were looking for an experienced Powder Coat Painter to join our sheet metal fabrication team. In this role, youll be responsible for applying high-quality powder coat finishes to a variety of metal products while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to customer specifications.

What Youll Do

• Set up and operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and conveyor systems
• Prepare parts for coating (cleaning, masking, staging)
• Perform color changes, including cleaning lines and switching materials
• Mix and measure powders, paints, and chemicals to required specifications
• Monitor and adjust oven settings to ensure proper curing
• Inspect finished parts for quality, coverage, and defects
• Monitor coating consistency, including flow and thickness
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Conduct daily chemical testing and maintain proper balances
• Read work orders, prints, and use measuring tools to meet specifications
• Accurately track jobs and properly label finished parts
• Identify and report quality issues
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

What Were Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in powder coating, painting, or similar manufacturing role
• Experience with powder coat lines, spray guns, and color changes
• Ability to read prints and use basic measuring tools
• Knowledge of coating processes and surface preparation
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical & Work Environment

• Manufacturing/production environment
• Standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 lbs. regularly
• Exposure to powders, paints, and chemicals
• PPE required (respirator, gloves, eye protection, etc.)
