Performance Test Engineer

CGI is seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to support the testing and validation of enterprise applications hosted in AWS based environments. This role is responsible for designing and executing performance testing strategies, developing test cases and automation scripts, analyzing application performance, tracking defects, and providing detailed reporting throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong background in performance and functional testing of Java and ETL applications, hands on experience with industry standard testing tools, and a solid understanding of Agile delivery practices. You will work closely with development, QA, and business teams to ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and quality standards before deployment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong emphasis on performance testing
• Hands on experience testing applications built on AWS, Java, and ETL technologies
• Experience developing performance test plans, test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks
• Strong proficiency with JMeter, Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber for performance and automated testing
• Experience with AngularJS testing and Karma
• Familiarity with performance and test management tools such as LoadRunner and JIRA
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and QA best practices
• Experience working in Agile environments, with exposure to Waterfall and Iterative development models
• Strong SQL skills with hands on experience using Oracle and MS Access databases
• Comfortable working in Unix/Linux and Windows environments
• Experience generating test reports, analyzing performance results, and supporting continuous test automation initiatives
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information System or related field
