Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 1.5 years of OR experience, prior travel experience, and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room setting
• Surgical specialties include Orthopedic, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology procedures
• Experience with Da Vinci Robotic surgery, endovascular procedures, and eye surgery is a plus
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• On-call is required
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgical specialties required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
