Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Cook for the Canyon Valley Memory Care community located in Green Valley, AZ.We currently have the following Shifts and Schedules available for this position:Day Shift: 6AM - 2PM Sunday and MondaySwing Shift: 10:30AM - 7PM Wednesday, Thursday, and FridayFrontier Senior Living's portfolio of communities spans throughout the United States with each community sharing a commitment to superior service and quality lifestyle for our residents within their own unique setting. They must possess general knowledge in various food preparation techniques, serving methods, and portion control standards, and general nutritional requirements for residents of retirement housing communities.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Assist Dietary Supervisor on breakfast, lunch or dinner preparation, production or service linesPrepare hot and cold items as designated by Dietary SupervisorPrepare soup, sauces, salads, and desserts, according to established standards and recipes.Follow all health department practices, safety practices, and infection control practicesPromptly discuss and resolve any potential food services and care coordination problems with team members and team leadersWork with Dietary Supervisor to see what leftovers are used and inventories are properly managed to keep costs in lineBreak down service line and clean work area as scheduled or instructed.Personally get to know residents of the Community by communicating with other team members and departments, reviewing appropriate resident records, and direct conversation with residents.Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service orientation with all residents and other team members.Present a professional demeanor that communicates to current and prospective residents the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in the resident's unique needs.Other duties as assignedFrontier Senior Living offers a competitive salary and a work environment that encourages initiative and fosters respect.
