Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance SupervisorMural Group is partnering with a well-established heavy industrial manufacturer to hire a Maintenance Supervisor for its Dunkirk, NY operation. This role is responsible for leading front-line maintenance teams in a demanding manufacturing environment where equipment reliability, safety, and production uptime are critical. The successful candidate will provide daily leadership to maintenance personnel, coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, and drive continuous improvement efforts across the facility.Maintenance LeadershipProvide daily supervision and direction to maintenance techniciansAssign and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance activitiesCoordinate maintenance work with operations to minimize downtimeSupport technician development through training and coachingReliability & TroubleshootingInvestigate equipment failures and implement corrective actionsPerform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issuesMonitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunitiesSupport reliability and uptime initiatives across the facilityPlanning & ExecutionOrder repair materials and spare parts as neededAssist with shutdown planning and maintenance schedulingSupport capital projects and infrastructure upgradesReview equipment history and recommend repair or replacement strategiesSafety & Continuous ImprovementEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standardsPromote strong housekeeping and 5S practices throughout the departmentMaintain equipment and facilities in a safe and reliable operating conditionDrive continuous improvement efforts within maintenance operationsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environmentStrong electrical troubleshooting experienceExperience supporting industrial equipment, utilities, and production systemsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsPreferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience in steel, metals, foundry, forging, mining, paper, cement, chemical, or other heavy industrial environmentsExperience with high-voltage distribution systemsExperience with PLCs, drives, and industrial controlsKnowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance practices
