Retail Assistant Store Manager $15.00 to $17.50 per hour with an easily achievable commission structure that pays for every transaction processed. Flexible working hours: most stores open 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; many are closed Sundays. Earned Wage Access program available on the second day of employment, allowing up to 50% of wages up to seven times per payroll cycle. Unlimited commission above hourly base. Paid vacation accrues after 6 months (1 week) and increases with each anniversary as follows: 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks thereafter, and additional hours after 5 years. Sick/Personal time: 8 hours after 6 months, 16 hours each anniversary thereafter, with adjustments for state/local requirements. Employee discounts available from the first day of employment. Access to the FirstCash Pet Insurance program. Position Summary We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or third‑key experience. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. Responsibilities include daily operations, asset protection, financial analysis, and maintaining a customer‑centric environment. Responsibilities Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues. Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels. Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and ensuring all procedures protect assets. Monitor inventory control, property safety, documentation, and securing customer loans to ensure asset protection. Administer store processes such as inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, and system reporting. Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through clear communication and goal setting. Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to protect loan integrity. Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development. Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of store mission and profit objectives. Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge. Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Demonstrated supervisory ability. Experience or certification to work with firearms. Will assist customers or retrieve items outside the building when necessary. Minimum age 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Willingness to work multiple locations as business needs dictate. Flexibility for a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Availability to work 40+ hours per week; hours are based on business needs and not guaranteed. Computer literate with experience operating POS systems and common office machines. Strong multitasking, detail‑oriented, and organizational skills. Analytical skills. Cash handling experience required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Assistant Store Managers can earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Detailed information is provided during the interview process.
