Operations Manager - 2nd Shift

Position Overview Operations Manager – 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm). This role oversees key operational areas to maintain smooth warehouse operations, ensuring customer commitments are met and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities Communicate with customers, vendors, and team members to ensure commitments are met. Implement and enforce GXO’s quality policies, establishing procedures to maintain quality objectives. Provide guidance to supervisors on personnel, quality, and safety matters. Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff. Recommend programs to improve operations. Coordinate equipment maintenance with the maintenance team. Maintain accurate records and complete timely reports. Enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards. Minimum Qualifications 4 years of relevant work experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field. 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience. Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement. Experience in warehousing or Third‑Party Logistics (3PL). Ability to maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures. Strong problem‑solving and statistical analysis skills. Physical Requirements Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Reach (including above head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel. Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.
