Overview Our machines can create envelopes from 1”x1” to 22”x27” in a variety of styles. We have over 150 million envelopes in inventory ready to ship immediately. Responsibilities Perform daily machine maintenance, changeovers, and set‑ups. Inspect products and make necessary mechanical adjustments to eliminate quality variations and address mechanical malfunctions. Troubleshoot minor operating difficulties using hand tools. Execute minor machine repairs. Operate all machines within the Folding Department. Examine work orders to determine production specifications. Inspect product quality following established guidelines. Verify order accuracy throughout production, including labeling, printing, and packaging. Perform machine wash‑up and other general cleaning duties to maintain a tidy workspace. Accurately complete paperwork for labor, time, and quality tracking. Maintain precise counts of envelopes for boxing, cartonizing, and palletizing. Neatly and uniformly pack envelopes into containers, keeping pace with machine speeds. Place die‑cut paper stacks into machine feeds. Splice paper rolls into web machine feeds. Qualifications & Skills Demonstrated expertise as Set‑Up Operator, Envelope Adjuster, or Auto Mechanic. Experience with RA and/or WD machines in a similar skill set and level of responsibility within the Envelope Industry preferred, but not required. 5 years of machine set‑up and/or repair experience preferred. Proven ability to set up orders on production manufacturing equipment, automotive, fleet mechanic, or farm mechanic equipment. Capacity to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to communicate effectively with employees of the organization. Strong arithmetic ability for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Proficiency in reading and interpreting ruler measurements. Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight‑hour shift. Ability to move up to 50 lbs. Shift & Training Shift: 2nd Shift: 4:30pm‑3:00am (4 10‑hour days) + $0.75/hr shift premium when working the 2nd shift hours. Training: All training is completed on the 1st shift. Training will take at least 6 months to learn our machines and our industry, but could be up to 8‑9 months on the 1st shift before transitioning to your home shift on the 2nd. Essential Physical & Environmental Functions Stamina & Mobility: Stand and walk on concrete surfaces for the duration of a scheduled shift (8–12 hours). Frequently bend, reach, crouch, or stoop. Weight Requirements: Lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally from floor to waist and waist to shoulder. Manual Dexterity: Constant repetitive grasping and fine motor manipulation of paper materials and machine components. Range of Motion: Frequent twisting of the torso and lifting above shoulder height. Sensory/Vision: Tactile sensitivity in hands and digits; near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for quality control and safe machine operation.
