Warehouse AssistantJob Type: CTH Location: Hartville, OHMake sure that all inventories are stored in a manor to facilitate an efficient flow of materials being shipped. Follow all instruction given by the warehouse manager.Summary of Essential Job FunctionsQuality Using scanners properly scan all items for a pick ticketInsure that pallets are palletized correctly and safe for travelInsure pallets are properly wrap, banded, etcInsure that data input and extracted from the IQMS system is accurateLabeling and or re-labeling of boxes as neededYou may be required to fill in for the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse SupervisorCost Control Store product to maximize use of available spaceLoad trailers to maximize space and insure safe transport of productStay current on UPS and FedEx shipping rates and restrictionsAssist in cycle counts of inventoryAdvise Warehouse Manager or Supervisor when running low on skidsWherever possible combine boxes for UPS or Fedex shipments to reduce costsSafety Use Personnel Protective Equipment as required (safety eye wear)Use extreme care when driving forklifts especially when around pedestriansReport any issues with the forklift to the Maintenance ManagerPerform house keeping in the warehouseReport all unsafe conditions to the Warehouse Manager, or Supervisor immediatelyExperience and Education Minimum of high school diploma and 3 years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing profession
