Intellectual Development Disabilities Client Service Worker

Job Description

The Client Service Worker plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to enhance their quality of life. This position involves transporting clients, coaching clients to have a meaning life clients in daily activities, implementing care plans, and advocating for their needs within various environments. The worker ensures the safety and wellbeing of clients while fostering independence and positive behavior.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and assistance to clients in daily living activities
Develop and implement individualized goals
Monitor and document client behavior and progress
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and incidents
Advocate for clients’ rights and needs within community and care settings
Enforce safety protocols to ensure client protection

Required Skills

Client transport
Assist with improving daily living skills
Developing existing skills
Coaching the clients to make their own choices
Hygiene management

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in developmental disabilities support
High school diploma or equivalent
Clean driving record
