Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and guiding patient/family teaching while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly accountable for the care given to assigned patients, effectively communicating with physicians regarding changes in patient conditions, monitoring cardiac activity, and responding promptly to treatment changes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using nursing assessments and interventions.
• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct patient and family education regarding care plans and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, including cardiac monitoring.
• Communicate effectively with physicians about patient care needs.
• Guide and oversee the activities of other nursing personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with Ventilator Management preferred.
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
