Acute Care Registered Nurse (Med Tele / Med Surg RN)Location: Sierra Vista, AZ 85635 Employment Type: Full-Time Openings: 7 Positions Department: Acute Care (Med Tele / Med Surg) Work Model: Onsite (Hospital) Hiring Acute Care Registered Nurses (Med Tele / Med Surg RN) to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients in an acute care medical-surgical and/or telemetry unit. The Acute Care RN will manage a variety of medical conditions, support telemetry monitoring as required, administer medications and treatments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure accurate documentation and patient education. This position requires strong assessment skills, time management, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment.Key Responsibilities• Provide direct nursing care to adult acute care patients on Med Surg and/or Med Tele units • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans • Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and recognize clinical deterioration promptly • Provide telemetry monitoring as needed and report rhythm changes to providers • Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per physician orders and protocols • Coordinate with physicians, case management, PT/OT, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams • Provide patient and family education including discharge planning and medication teaching • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes • Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital quality standards • Participate in shift handoffs, rounding, and unit-based performance improvement initiativesMust-Have RequirementsEducation: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required License: Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required Experience: 1–2 years of RN experience required (Med Surg/Telemetry preferred)Core Skills & Competencies• Acute care nursing (Med Surg / Med Tele) • Patient assessment, clinical judgement, and escalation of care • Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition • Medication administration, IV therapy, and patient safety • Multidisciplinary teamwork and effective communication • Patient education and discharge planning support • EMR documentation accuracy and compliance
