About the Opportunity

Adecco is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a leading organization in Glen Allen, VA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with vendors, internal stakeholders, and financial data.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for invoice processing, vendor account management, payment support, discrepancy resolution, and month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and enter purchase order and non-purchase order invoices accurately and timely.

• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.

• Research and resolve pricing, quantity, and payment discrepancies.

• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment issues.

• Utilize accounts payable workflow and ERP systems to manage approvals and processing.

• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.

• Review vendor statements and reconcile outstanding balances.

• Assist with weekly review of aging reports and outstanding invoices.

• Support month-end close activities, including accounts payable accruals and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the accounts payable function.

• Assist with special projects and other accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related field OR a minimum of 3 years of related Accounts Payable or accounting experience.

• Strong data entry and computer skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred

• Experience in Accounts Payable within a corporate environment.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.

• Experience reconciling vendor accounts and resolving invoice discrepancies.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
