## Laboratory PhlebotomistApplylocations: Sebring, FLtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: M104425**Job Description Summary**Hours & Location: Full Time: Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm & Friday 7am-12pm 4221 Sun N Lake Blvd, Sebring, FL The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing and collecting blood from patients and preparing the samples for testing. Verifies the patient's records, enters data into the system, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. Processes specimens and demonstrates proper handling of samples. Instructs patients on Coumadin and performs limited waived testing. Maintains sample integrity by identification and labeling (2 identifiers). Maintains work area, supplies, and cleanliness.**How will you make an impact & Requirements****Responsibilities*** Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture for the Coumadin clinic* Identifies patient following protocol.* Prepares samples for processing w/correct label and bar code and inspects vials* Reconciles outstanding sample report at day’s end.* Observe safety procedures and sample prep.* Support and guide in day-to-day activities.* Clean up old orders and combine orders in Copia, know which tests are duplicates and which are necessary for measures.* Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.* Perform other related duties as assigned.**Qualifications*** Phlebotomy certification or M.A. certification or certificate from a phlebotomy program.* 1+ years of experience in Lab preferred* Understand labeling/ID protocol, and knowledge of common lab tests, sample types, and vacutainers.* Understand Biohazard, OSHA safety regulations for medical offices, and Universal precautions.* Knowledge of test requirements and how to search Quest/LabCorp for esoteric tests.* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.**Benefits:*** 3 weeks PTO & 8 paid holidays* Medical, Dental, Vision* Employer Paid Basic Life & Short Term Disability coverage (goes into effect after 1 year of full-time employment)* 401(k) with match* Employee Wellness* Other Employee Discount programs like Tickets at Work and cell phone discounts* Other benefits: Dependent Care FSA, Voluntary Life, Long Term Disability, Critical Illness, Pet Insurance, and more**Why Millennium?**Millennium Physician Group is one of the largest comprehensive primary care practices with healthcare providers throughout Florida.At Millennium Physician Group, you will find an organization that focuses on family and building a strong network of people to care for the communities we serve.
