Job Summary This position will be assigned to the Maintenance and Operations Department under the Business Services Division: Under general supervision, to perform a variety of duties involved in the care and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities; to perform a variety of grounds keeping functions; and to perform a variety of semi‑skilled work in several areas of the building trades. Exercise no oversight over County Office Staff. The proposed scheduled work hours will be 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The candidate will be eligible for the 5% Shift Differential Stipend for working an 8 hour shift starting at 2pm. Education and Experience: Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. One year of experience in the care and cleaning of buildings, facilities and grounds. License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver’s license and appropriate vehicle operation insurance. Degree stipend is prorated based upon full time equivalent. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM THE DEPARTMENT: The primary purpose of the Maintenance Department is to maintain a facility that functions effectively and provides a clean, safe and healthy environment for staff, students and visitors. Must be willing and able to travel to various sites.
