Criminal Justice Case Manager

$24.21 per hour

Title: Criminal Justice Case Manager Pay: $24.21/hr Location: Lakewood, CO Hours: Full-time weekdays Job Overview Provides case management for a caseload of non‑residential and/or residential adult Diversion and Transition clients to help them achieve program success by applying appropriate behavioral change techniques while providing supervision and monitoring compliance according to Intervention policies and procedures. Responsibilities Support, promote and adhere to the mission, values and Code of Conduct of Intervention Inc. Reflect Intervention Inc.’s commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect. Maintain confidentiality of client and company information. Carry out all duties in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations. Maintain complete, accurate and timely case files, both paper and electronic, for each client on caseload. Perform assessments and reassessments as required. Develop individualized supervision case plans based upon established protocols and client needs. Explain program expectations and case plans verbally to clients to ensure understanding of requirements and responsibilities. Report all program violations according to established policies. Administer rewards and sanctions according to established policies and procedures. Approve and track client access to community and update as needed to ensure community safety. Assist clients in developing and adhering to personal budget plans, monitor balances and provide financial statements. Review client financial obligations and status at least monthly to ensure restitution and child support payments comply with court requirements. Schedule and meet individually with each client at least weekly to evaluate progress in accomplishing case plans and sentencing requirements. Refer clients to treatment providers as needed, inform them of responsibilities for payment and participation, and monitor progress and attendance. Support clients in searching for, obtaining, and maintaining employment. Complete all written reports concerning clients accurately, legibly and timely; obtain supervisor approval before sending reports to courts or referral agencies. Enter client data into electronic databases, including CCIB, accurately, timely and completely. Refer clients to community resources as appropriate and maintain communication throughout service. Work with courts, probation, and other criminal justice agencies regarding client staffing and compliance. Observe drug and alcohol tests as required, according to established policies and procedures. Drive personal vehicle to court, jail, or other sites as required, including in adverse weather. Testify in court regarding clients. Attend required trainings and meetings; apply skills and knowledge. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. For Non‑Residential Case Managers: Conduct home visits to verify clients’ residence; drive company van while accompanied by another staff member. Transport clients to or from jail, or as directed by Manager. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, psychology, social work, counseling, social science, or closely related field from an accredited college or university. Substitution for Education: Work experience in counseling, social work, law enforcement, corrections or community supervision that provides equivalent knowledge on a year‑for‑year basis for the bachelor’s degree. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in general population case management. Experience applying Motivational Interviewing skills and techniques. Effective verbal and written communication with diverse constituents. Ability to complete assessments and develop case plans. Competency in data entry, report generation, and communications across various software programs and databases. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques for the client population. Team player who can also work independently with staff, stakeholders, and a diverse client base. Must pass background check and be granted access to state criminal databases.
