IV Pharmacy Technician Opportunity

An opportunity is available for a skilled IV Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations in a cleanroom environment. This full-time contract position requires strong hands-on experience in preparing sterile IV medications, ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile IV medications, including antibiotics, hydration solutions, minibags, syringes, and other sterile preparations.
• Strictly adhere to aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures per USP 797 guidelines.
• Label, package, and prepare medications accurately for dispensing.
• Assist with prescription filling and data entry when needed.
• Maintain cleanroom standards and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years recent, hands-on IV compounding experience is required.
• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• Proven experience working within a sterile compounding cleanroom environment.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile preparation procedures.
• PTCB certification and Sterile Compounding Certificate are preferred but not mandatory.
