Assistant Operations Supervisor Full Time Lakewood, CO, US Job Description Assistant Operations Supervisor– Firefighter PPE is a full-service UL Verified Independent Service Provider (ISP) of PPE care and maintenance, available throughout the US. As a subsidiary of Fire-Dex, we specialize in advanced cleaning, inspection, repair, alteration, and equipment customizations for first responders. Our services and rentals meet established industry and manufacturer standards. We’re currently seeking an Assistant Operations Supervisor to assist in managing day‑to‑day operations and supervising employees in a leadership role to meet production and project schedules; plan and assign work; implement policies and operating procedures and be responsible for safety, quality, productivity, and cost of responsible work groups. Responsibilities Maintain Work Order productivity throughput according to management defined standards Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish), with the ability to interpret conversations, translate documents, and communicate effectively to support both management and Spanish speaking employees Assist in achieving production goals as required Coach, train and supervise employees Assist in monitoring employee attendance and resolve employee issues Assist in monitoring and measuring employee productivity according to management standards Identify, document, and implement efficiency improvements standards Answering phone calls and provide administrative support Process work orders and invoices Assist in maintaining and updating written company Process and Procedure Guide in accordance with company and industry standards Enforce company policies and procedures Troubleshoot and resolve semi‑complex issues, making quality decisions in a timely manner Maintain equipment per company schedule and develop working knowledge for general repair Develop strong working knowledge of the Gear Wash App and any other company systems Assist with deliveries as needed when drivers are unavailable Assist in the successful completion of company’s annual third‑party verification program Primarily work first‑shift hours while maintaining flexibility to attend meetings and provide overtime coverage outside of scheduled hours as needed Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent required Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or related field is preferred Previous successful manufacturing or production leadership experience Active leadership experience and familiarity with lean manufacturing and ISO standards Skilled in Microsoft applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to learn new software programs and systems Open and effective communicator and collaborator with all levels of the organization and with external customers, including verbally and written, including being a team Team player, having a professional interface with others, getting results through collaboration while also being a self‑starter Possess characteristics of servant leadership Strong sense of urgency, follow‑through, and diligence, including meeting deadlines and have the ability to remain organized with and keep track of multiple sources of information and data Possess a solutions‑focused mind‑set Possess strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Efficient with multi‑tasking and managing multiple priorities, including being productive while handling re‑directions and interruptions, based upon business needs Being flexible and accommodating High attention to details Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds due to the nature of handling garments Benefits Profit sharing bonuses based upon company success Health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family Paid time off and parental leave 401(k) with employer matching Life insurance and short‑term disability insurance EAP (employee assistance program) for entire household Local entertainment and event discounts Fulfillment about your work and this industry because it is impactful More About Us Location: Lakewood, CO Mission: To serve those who serve Our values include fun, integrity, respect, and excellence = FIRE!
