MEP Designer (3-5 yrs)

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Designer/Drafter with 3 to 5 years of experience to support the electrical and mechanical engineering departments in our San Diego office. The successful candidate will assist in creating drawings and project documents from information provided by engineers using various computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow in a multidiscipline engineering office, and be willing to have fun. Compensation and Benefits Expected Hourly Rate: $30.00 to $45.00, depending on education and experience. Paid overtime at 1.5 times hourly rate. Competitive end-of-year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance. Hybrid work schedule (subject to change). 401k with maximum of 5% contribution matching with 9% employee contribution. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledgeable in creating and editing MEP Revit models. Work from detailed engineering sketches to MEP models, plans and details. Possess computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets and graphics. Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale. Education/Experience 3+ years of experience in drafting and design (experience in electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems required). Technical or associate degree in computer-aided drafting & design (or similar), preferred. Possess CAD, layout, and BIM skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam. Experience with the latest release of Autodesk Revit design tools. Able to work with numerous project teams to help with project completion.
