Position Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Appointment Type: Clinical Track Faculty Department: IUSM - Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Campus: IU School of Medicine, Indianapolis Position Summary The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Medical Group (IUHMG), is recruiting a pediatric pathologist to serve the pediatric patient population of Indiana. The selected individual will join a growing team of experienced pediatric pathologists based at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis. The IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL) is located less than a mile from Riley and is home to a large faculty of subspecialized academic pathologists, affording easy access to clinical and academic collaborations. This position provides the opportunity to practice pediatric pathology at a dedicated children’s hospital, while offering the unique flexibility to sign out on the adult service for those who wish to maintain other subspecialty expertise. Responsibilities Deliver professional diagnostic services comprising anatomic pediatric surgical and/or placental and perinatal pathology Provide on‑call coverage and conference support with department faculty members Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical care team Teach medical students, residents, and fellows Support needs of rapidly growing pediatric divisions, including prominent pediatric GI service Support pediatric oncology service with emerging Precision Genomics Additional Information The position is available on the clinical track; academic rank is determined by qualifications and level of experience. Basic Qualifications Doctorate or terminal degree required. Certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic pathology or anatomic or clinical pathology. Board‑certification or board‑eligibility in Pediatric Pathology is required. Must be qualified for licensure in the state of Indiana.
