Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineers own the full development lifecycle, from concept generation, to integration and flight test, ensuringhigh-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems that meet the demands ofcomplex, contested environments.WHAT YOU'LL DOCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of avionics and mission systems within aircraft.Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for secondary structures and system components. Large assembly model management.Conduct simulations and analyses to validate designs against performance requirements and regulatory standards (hand calculations and FEA).Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into productionLead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plansSupport critical hardware demonstrations with customers as neededTravel to test sites as neededREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSB.S. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience5+ years experience in aircraft systems integration Siemens NX proficiencyExcellent communication and team skillsFamiliarity with aircraft and military standardsEligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPLM experience (Teamcenter, Windchill)Active Top secret DoD clearanceUnmanned Air Vehicle design experienceUS Salary Range$129,000—$171,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
