Job Summary and Qualifications Role Summary : Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon in achieving desired surgical outcomes. Aids perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for the patient before, during and after surgical intervention. Required Education: Surgical Technologist: graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. If LPN in surgical Technologist role: graduate of an accredited LPN program Preferred Education: Associates of Applied Science in Surgical Technology Required License: Surgical Technologist: Current BCLS certification. For individuals hired after August 1, 2007, certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire. LPN in Surgical Technologists role: current BCLS certification and current NC license. For individuals hired after August 1, 2007, certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire.
