Maintenance Technician (Levels A and B)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facilities to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. This role requires troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues while complying with all company safety, quality, and environmental standards. Position level (A or B) is determined based on experience, technical proficiency, and capability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Perform required maintenance activities on plant equipment and facilities


• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to power presses, welders, power hand tools, lift trucks, spray paint equipment, electronics, and heating and cooling systems

• Install new equipment, assist with equipment moves, and perform plumbing and facility repairs as assigned

• Perform maintenance-type welding as required

• Conduct preventative maintenance programs in accordance with company standards.


• Apply electrical wiring practices utilizing both AC and DC voltages

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams

• Use appropriate hand tools and electronic measuring devices as required

• Work at heights above floor level when necessary

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment


• Follow all company safety rules, OSHA regulations, quality standards, and applicable documentation requirements.


• Perform other duties as assigned


POSITION LEVEL DIFFERENTIATION


MAINTENANCE TECHNITIAN B:

• Performs maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision

• Assists with complex troubleshooting, installations, and repairs

• Conducts preventative maintenance tasks as established by the company

• Requires a completion of a 2 year apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a maintenance trade

• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code


MAINTENANCE TECHNITIAN A:

• Independently diagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electrical issues

• Trains and supports lower-level maintenance technicians

• Recommends improvements to preventative maintenance programs and processes

• Requires completion of a four-year apprenticeship or equivalent journeyman experience

• Applies National Electrical Code requirements independently and accurately

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Apprenticeship or equivalent journeyman experience required based on position level


• Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


• Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and procedures

• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and wiring diagrams


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
