Training and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Training and Development Specialist to join our team. As a Training and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Training and Development Specialist will create, organize, and plan program for the organization and the business. Using various formats, procedure manuals, guides, and course materials, the Training and Development Specialist will develop onboarding, orientation, skills training program and/or test and assessments to fulfill workers specific needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult education, employee relations, and performance management.
- Design and develop training programs that align with organizational goals and objectives
- Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other departments to create engaging training materials
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods to ensure effective learning
- Implement learning management systems (LMS) to track training progress and evaluate effectiveness
- Evaluate training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback to measure impact and make improvements
- Analyze performance evaluations to determine development and/or retraining opportunities
- Provide guidance and support to trainers or facilitators during training sessions
- Coordinate employee orientation programs to ensure new hires receive comprehensive onboarding
- Keep up with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books, or magazine articles
- Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of test and assessments
- Perform other related duties as required. ```Skills```
- Strong knowledge of adult education principles and practices
- Experience in organization design, employee relations, and performance management preferred
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) for training administration
- Familiarity with HR systems for tracking employee development
- Understanding of instructional design models
- Excellent research and analytical skills to identify training needs and trends
- Effective communication skills to deliver engaging presentations and facilitate group discussions
