Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful contract role serving K-12 students as a part-time, itinerant physical therapist. This opportunity offers a balanced workweek of 25-30 hours and the chance to make a tangible difference across a diverse, district-wide caseload of 20-23 students. In this role, your expertise supports students’ growth, independence, and participation in their educational environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Earned Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
• Active California licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Understanding of IEP processes, student documentation, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Passion for fostering students’ functional mobility, motor skills, and overall well-being in a school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and deliver direct and consultative PT services to a K-12th grade caseload across various campuses as assigned
• Develop individualized intervention plans aligned with students’ academic and developmental needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and adjust therapies as needed
• Offer training and resources to staff and families to encourage carryover of skills
• Adapt interventions to suit school environments and support students’ access to their education
