THE POSITION

Become a Custodial Worker 1 with the Department of Transportation and support a team that depends on clean and organized facilities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the organization by performing cleaning, upkeep, and basic maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and orderly environment. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Building Cleaning: Wash floors, polish furniture, clean lavatories, and maintain carpets and windows
• Trash Removal: Collect all trash and transport it to the dumpster
• Outdoor Upkeep: Shovel snow, sweep walks and maintain building entrances
• General Assistance: Move furniture, deliver supplies, and complete errands as assigned
• Mail Duties: Collect mail, distribute items and manage the raising and lowering of the flag
• Safety Awareness: Follow safety practices, attend training and report unsafe conditions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
