Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience required. License: Must have a valid nursing license. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: Must have experience in a 20+ bed ICU. Will need to pass an EKG exam. Experience in pressor support, ETT, trachs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound care, and sterile technique. Description: This position requires a highly skilled and compassionate registered nurse specialized in intensive care. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment caring for critically ill patients. The nurse will be part of a team providing support and care for patients requiring intensive monitoring and interventions. The nurse will adhere to protocols for managing patients with complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will be proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing critical care equipment. Floating to medical-surgical areas within the intensive care service line may be required. Weekend shifts are mandatory every other weekend. Preferred skills include CRRT experience, Swanz, inhaled and IV Flolan, CVVHD, and proning techniques. The ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams is essential. The role demands strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations. The nurse will ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols and safety measures. Candidate must demonstrate professionalism and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective patient care.
