About the Role:

KSTAR INC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff member to join our team in Kerrville, TX! This overnight position (11PM to 7AM) is a vital role that makes a real difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and supervision to individuals during overnight hours (11PM–7AM)
• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and comfort
• Monitor and document resident behavior, health status, and any incidents during the shift
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or behavioral situations
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for all residents
• Communicate effectively with incoming staff during shift transitions and handoffs
• Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all agency policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Previous experience in direct care, residential support, or human services preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts reliably, including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with vulnerable populations
• Must pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements
• Must pass drug screening 
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
