Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Specialty Imaging Technologist – CT Scan to perform high-quality CT examinations in a fast-paced academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center .

The technologist will operate specialized CT equipment, perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and provide accurate diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols.

This position may close without notice once a sufficient number of qualified applications are received.

-> Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations using specialized equipment and imaging protocols.
• Properly position and prepare patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Administer contrast and monitor patients for contrast reactions .
• Perform venipuncture as required for contrast administration.
• Follow radiation safety, infection control, aseptic technique, and patient safety standards.
• Operate CT scanners and related computer/software systems.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital policies and emergency procedures.

-> Requirements

• Successful completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program .
• Current Nevada State License in Radiology.
• ARRT certification in Radiography.
• National certification in a specialty area such as Computed Tomography (CT) or Angiography.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

-> Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Valid Nevada Radiology License .
• ARRT Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) .
• 3+ years of CT experience in a Trauma setting.
• Experience performing CT interventional exams .

-> Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of CT procedures, protocols, radiography, anatomy and physiology.
• Experience with contrast administration and recognition of contrast reactions.
• Knowledge of venipuncture and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to operate CT equipment and specialized imaging software.
• Strong patient communication and positioning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
