Law Clerk – Case Support, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Arizona Grey Street Consulting, LLC is hiring a Law Clerk to provide case support for the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) in Tucson, AZ. The position is full‑time, onsite, and requires strong legal research, drafting, and case management skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work with AUSAs and supervisory attorneys to determine applicable statutory and regulatory law and identify possible defenses, violations or causes of action. Develop understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and stay current on new rules and procedures. Alert AUSAs to potential issues while reviewing and analyzing case files. Assist with 28 U.S.C. § 2255 habeas corpus and immigration habeas matters, including docketing, calendaring, filing, and drafting responses for review by appropriate AUSA. Analyze statutes, legislative intent, judicial precedents, agency rules, and law review articles related to assigned cases. Brief attorneys on pertinent facts, issues, and case law. Draft correspondence, legal documents, and proposed orders for judge or magistrate signature. Requirements and Experience Law Degree (J.D.) U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain adjudication for the required background investigation. Valid State driver’s license. Minimum two (2) years of professional work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to make responsible decisions on short notice and adapt to unexpected developments. Physically located within the general geographic commuting radius of the USAO office. Working knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil and Criminal Procedure. Experience performing requisite legal services. ADA Requirements Operate a PC and phone in an office environment. Work in a primarily sedentary position. Perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment may be required. Any additional office equipment required by the position.
