Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician

This position administers the daily operations of a specific service shop and provides repair, incoming inspection, calibration, and maintenance services to medical treatment and diagnostic equipment.

Job responsibilities include providing coverage and support for CE Lead during Lead's absence if needed, performing significant preventative maintenance/safety tests/calibration for equipment, providing equipment repair throughout responsible area, prioritizing work load effectively with minimal supervision, completing all necessary record keeping for work orders received and/or finished, solving organization level customer service issues and complaints with minimal supervision, assisting in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for servicing of equipment, performing cross training to other technicians on acquired skills, and effectively communicating and partnering with teammates and colleagues.

Non-essential job responsibilities include other duties as assigned by management, keeping up to date on technological and medical advances, and maintaining an up-to-date understanding of The Joint Commission, NFPA, and other regulatory agencies/standards.

Job requirements include an associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates, or equivalent experience; a minimum of 5 years' experience servicing technical equipment; related certification(s) preferred, CBET, CRES, etc; and a valid driver's license required.

This position requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be available to respond to urgent service needs outside of regular business hours and may be required to return to the facility on short notice.
