Data Architect 12+ years of relevant experience in Data Management, Big Data (Hadoop, Scala, Spark, Hive), ETL – Talend, AWS Technical expertise in financial services industry and/or regulatory environments Excellent knowledge and experience on solutioning cloud native solutions Experience with migrating on-prem applications to cloud architectures or developing cloud native applications for any of the following: AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift Ability to work across technology stacks and perform R&D on new technologies Proficiency in one or more programming languages like Java, Python etc. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Management and prioritization skills Ability to develop working relationships Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly Methodical, attention to detail Executes the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex IT architecture projects; ensures that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints. Develops technology road maps, while keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, and recommends business directions based on these technologies. Develops modern data architecture considering data sources, destinations, and processing infrastructure, leveraging data warehouses, data lakes, data fabric, and data mesh architectures to streamline data pipelines and ensure effective data flow, integration, and processing. Can establish comprehensive data management procedures, including data virtualization for a holistic view of organizational data and data democratization to promote a data-driven culture, ensuring all teams have access to relevant data regardless of technical expertise. Fosters a culture of data governance, ensuring that data activities are well-coordinated and successfully executed by relevant data teams, promoting consistency, quality, and compliance across the organization. Designs data architecture and management practices to facilitate the generation of advanced analytics and insights, enabling the extraction of valuable information from data assets to spur innovation and corporate growth.
