Location 425 Broadway, Ste 201, Paducah, KY, 42001, United States JOB DESCRIPTION Position Overview This position is full-time and non-exempt from wage and hour regulations. The position provides assistance to individuals and organizations that are providing preventative activities of a behavioral health nature. Primary duties include community resource organization, specific preventative program planning and oversight, and educational activities. This position may also be responsible for a variety of tasks that are nonetheless essential under the heading of “Miscellaneous Duties”. The position reports administratively to the Regional Prevention and Education Center Site Administrator and clinically as specified in the specialist’s Appointment Letter. Major Tasks / Responsibilities Community Resource Organization Maintain an active awareness of existing preventative programs in the assigned counties. Assist community-based entities with influencing social and public policy to promote healthy life-style choices. Assist community-based entities in conducting behavioral health/prevention related needs assessments. Assist community-based entities with “capacity building”. Assist community-based entities with funding-source and/or grant opportunities to further established objectives. Assist community-based entities with specific program implantation and evaluations efforts. Program Planning and Oversight Construct any assigned planning documents that will facilitate funding-source access for the RPEC. Monitor and update approved plans to insure plan-to-need consistency. Provide fiscal monitoring to organizations as assigned. Provide program evaluation activities as assigned. Provide liaison services between funding-source and service-delivery entities as assigned. Educational Activities Evaluate available prevention-related resources for educational activities. Provide consultation to groups, forums, and/or individuals to maximize community access to established resources. Provide issue-specific instructional activities to promote healthy life-style choices. Construct prevention-related curricula as assigned. Provide curricula-based educational activities that further a preventative goal and/or skill-set development. Provide Train-the-Trainer opportunities for individuals who will provide preventative programming. Evaluate effectiveness of instructional activities. Meet productivity standards as assigned. Maintain appropriate educational, financial and administrative records as required. Participate on committees and in planning activities as assigned. Attend periodic meetings and/or trainings as assigned. Perform other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must possess a graduate degree in education, a behavioral health discipline, or public health or a bachelor’s degree and experience that qualifies for third-party recognition. Must possess a working knowledge of substance abuse related issues; other behavioral health working knowledge preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Experience in a prevention-related program preferred. Must pass all required background checks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
