Painter PositionThe Painter position is responsible to prepare and paint parts for use in the assembly of products in accordance with quality and productivity/efficiency specifications.Essential FunctionsPlaces individual pieces or racks on conveyor.Prep products, pieces and parts for paint.Washes parts with high pressure washer using wand-type sprayer.Applies powder coating to prescribed thickness evenly and consistently.Mixes and applies wet paint with a high degree of quality.Ability to use media blaster.Proper use of designated PPE for Paint Dept.Other duties and functions as assigned.Ability to follow directions.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent0 - 1 years of paint application experience in an industrial settingMust be able to use electrostatic powder coating equipment and wet spray gunsMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals.Must have basic computer skillsMust be able to read blueprintsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and with assistanceAbility to bend, kneel and stoop frequentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.Ability to follow all safety requirements.Ability to work in small areas in order to perform the work.Ability to climb step ladders, work platforms as needed.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
