Behavior Technician

Position Overview We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. In this role, you will work one‑on‑one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence‑based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Children can be unpredictable and potentially confrontational; this role requires a strong and resilient spirit. Responsibilities Work one‑on‑one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Apply evidence‑based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills. Assist in reducing interfering behaviors under the supervision of a BCBA. Stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, lift, and carry children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for each child. Track progress and contribute to treatment data collection. Collaborate closely with the BCBA and team peers. Maintain professional boundaries while implementing interventions. Qualifications Passionate about helping children with autism. Patient, compassionate, and capable of teamwork. Age 18 + with high‑school diploma or GED. Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification, and TB test if not performed within the last year. Pass a pre‑employment background check. Physical ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.) and lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Pay Range Pay Range: $17 – $20 per hour.
