Behavior Intervention Specialist

Position Overview Behavior Interventionist – Ventura County, California. Pay $28.25/hr. The role involves direct work with adults with behavioral challenges and providing staff training. Responsibilities Reduce problem behaviors while teaching replacement behaviors. Implement behavior plans, use proactive and reactive strategies, and assist with assessments. Provide direction, training, and mentorship to families and staff. Work under BCBA supervision and receive ongoing training. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Education, or a related field. Twelve semester units in applied behavior analysis and one year of experience designing or implementing behavior modification interventions, or two years of such experience. 1 to 2 years of experience designing and implementing behavior modification interventions. Completion of Safe and Positive Approaches training and subsequent re‑certifications. Physical ability to walk, sit, stoop, bend, stand, use computers, and conduct outdoor activities under various weather conditions. Annual TB test required.
