Specific duties include: implementing University and College policies and procedures; implementing the program curricula; participating in curriculum and course planning, implementation, and evaluation; student advisement; mentoring; assisting in evaluating clinical settings and experiences related to the course and student learning needs; planning clinical experiences for students and evaluating the clinical competence of students; serves on University and College of Nursing committees; participates in the community by offering volunteer services and/or offering consultation and/or in-service education to clinical agencies or community agencies/organizations; and initiates and/or participates in nursing research activities.Required/Preferred QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing are required.Academic preparation includes degree specialization, specialty coursework, or other preparation sufficient to address the qualifications.At least two years of clinical practice are required in the nursing field of expertise and current, unencumbered licensure in Louisiana.This position requires in-person teaching on campus.Desired:Doctorate in Nursing or related field preferred.General University InformationMcNeese State University, located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is a public university and a member of the University of Louisiana System.
